Sunguarding Sport

Archery GB partnered with Melanoma Fund on their Sunguarding Sport Campaign for Start Archery Week 2022. Sunguarding Sport aims to raise awareness of sun protection in sport - vital for archers on outdoor ranges in the Summer months!

UK Sport

UK Sport is one of the 12 official National Lottery distributors. UK Sport has invested over £40m of National Lottery funding in support of major international sporting events in the UK between 2013-2023. Since National Lottery funding for Olympic and Paralympic sport started, British athletes have won 863 medals. Both our Olympic and Paralympic programmes are funded by UK Sport, who have committed £4.7m for Paris 2024.

Sport England

Sport England invests in and provides a range of services to national governing bodies to encourage more people to play sport and be physically active. Archery GB will receive expertise, support and an investment of £1,651,760 of government and National Lottery funding from Sport England to co-deliver the ambitious aims of its 10-year Uniting the Movement strategy. Sport England have also invested into Archery GB for the Structure Review and Commonwealth Games legacy. Clubs across England can also approach Sport England for funding to help grow and develop the sport locally.

Sport Northern Ireland

Sport NI is responsible for the development of sport in Northern Ireland at all levels, with the aim of producing more participants and more winners. Sport NI and Archery GB work together through the Sporting Winners programme whose purpose is to help more Northern Ireland Athletes to win at the highest level through the provision of world class sporting experiences.

Sports Aid

Sports Aid supports unfunded athletes who are nominated by Archery GB as archery's National Governing Body of Sport. This ensures the right athletes get the right help at the right time - enhancing the sports' talent development programmes rather than duplicating them. Nominations take place every autumn. Project Rimaya, an archery initiative to introduce the sport to young Muslims is also kindly funded by Sports Aid.

Mental Health Charter

Archery GB has signed up to the Sport and Recreation Alliance Mental Health in Sport Charter and we want to ensure our sport creates a welcoming, inclusive, and positive environment for everyone to participate in. We also encourage people to talk about mental health and to seek help and support when needed.

The National Lottery

Since National Lottery funding for elite sport began in 1997, British athletes have won 863 Olympic and Paralympic medals. Since UK Sport was established more than 4,600 athletes have benefited from National Lottery support.

Wales Archery

Wales Archery have been a supporter of UK national junior tournaments for over 30 years and we will be building on this base together to support and continue to develop junior archery in the UK. Wales Archery is the lead sponsor for all Archery GB junior tournaments.

Scottish Archery

Scottish Archery is a membership association of members within archery clubs and direct members across Scotland. They work to develop archery and make it an accessible and enjoyable sport with opportunities for everyone to reach their individual potential whether as a competitor or in a volunteer role. They receive support and funding from sportscotland and Archery GB and work with other Scottish Bodies to help further the sport in Scotland. They are a Home Nation within Archery GB.

UK Anti-Doping is an active participant in the global fight against doping in sport - and is the national body responsible for creating a UK-wide environment of confidence in clean sport.

Rainbow Laces

Rainbow Laces is organised by Stonewall, Europe’s largest LGBTQ+ charity. Founded in 1989, Stonewall imagines a world where all lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning and ace (LGBTQ+) people are free to be themselves, and fulfil their potential. Everyone whether they be an athlete, fan, club, workplace or sporting body is welcome and invited to activate for Rainbow Laces. Fletchers' Trust

The Worshipful Company of Fletchers has an impressive track record in charitable giving, especially in providing financial support to all levels of the disabled archery community. Their charity, The Fletchers' Trust, is an approved Charitable Partner of Archery GB. The Trust's main focus is supporting archers with disabilities, physical and mental, including those who are visually impaired. They award grants to newcomers to archery as well as to experienced and elite national archers. Their support includes helping clubs improve their facilities for disabled people and contributing to the costs of a number of competitions including the Disability Championships. We have been incredibly grateful for their huge support over many years, which started with a focus on our para-athletes but has broadened to provide support to coaches, clubs and organisations in welcoming and developing disabled archers across the UK.

RED January

RED January focuses on setting yourself a realistic movement goal for every day in January. A goal that works for you and your lifestyle, and that you have a real chance of continuing throughout the year. Archery GB partnered with RED January to encourage our members to keep active and to promote the benefits of archery for mental health and keeping active to REDders.

UK Coaching Week

UK Coaching Week will explore the meaning of holistic coaching and the positive and profound impact it can have. They will also be encouraging the public and the sport and physical activity community to express their appreciation and gratitude towards coaches by saying how they, their friends or their family, have developed holistically under their care and support.

Every Body Moves

We are proud to support Every Body Moves (EBM), an initiative dedicated to helping disabled people across the UK become more active. EBM is an activity finder and provides comprehensive information and advice on accessible sports clubs and activities, making it easier for everyone to participate in physical activity including archery.
